Brendon Fraser completed his articles and gained post-admission experience at Senekal Simmons Incorporated and thereafter joined the Consumer Goods Counsel of South Africa where he was responsible for attending and leading various technical committees at both Nedlac and BUSA. His crowning achievement at the Consumer Goods Counsel of South Africa was leading the Industry Task Team in drafting the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman Code of Conduct, which was later adopted into law by the Minister of Trade and Industry at the time, Rob Davies.
In 2015, he joined Quinton van der Burgh Investments and under the mentorship of Quinton van der Burgh, has become a well-rounded specialist in commercial and mining laws. Responsible for the oversight of all legal agreements, risk, governance and compliance, Brendon excels in his roles, guiding and advising the Boards of Directors and Shareholders of the entities that he represents and protects. In 2020, Brendon was appointed as the Chief Legal Officer of Q Global Commodities, managing and directing his team of six admitted attorneys effectively, imbuing his principles of efficiency, attention to detail, and integrity within the department.
Brendon’s portfolio has now been extended to assist Lucky Kgatle in ensuring that Tlou Commodities builds strong legal, compliance and governance foundations as it launches into the South African mining sector, a role he has assumed with alacrity.
Brendon obtained his BCom Law degree in 2008 and earned his LLB degree and B Com Honours (Cum Laude) in Strategic Management during 2010 at the University of Johannesburg. He was admitted as an attorney in 2011 and as a Notary Public in 2013. Brendon went on to complete his MBA in 2021 at the Johannesburg Business School (Cum Laude) and has been approached to pursue a PhD in Digital Transformation.
